Water samples and cover boards

Posted by admin on February 29, 2012

Dr . Wally Smith took a group of students out last week to set out cover boards for the snake and salamander project. Students will periodically check the cover boards for snakes and salamanders which will be identified to species, weighed, measured, and photographed. In addition, the snakes will be implanted with Passive Integrated Transponder tags (PIT) which will allow us to individually identify snakes for mark recapture analysis. coverboard1.jpg
